Walk beach from Saundersfoot to Amroth and back (tide just low enough on way out). Cold and windy, but beautiful

Out at first light for birding, but weather and tides extreme – radio says don’t go out. Roads flooded. We all drive to Laugharne, then have a walk on the beach, followed by a pint at Amroth

Windy and wet walk on the beach with G and Peggy first thing. All down later to watch the ‘New Years Day Swim’ – hundreds of people in fancy dress and etc. – a blind man with guide dog, a couples 50th wedding anniversary… All rather moving. Afternoon/evening watching movies.
